Tokai LBX Electric Bass 1984 - Description

The Tokai LBX Electric Bass 1984 suits bass players who want a reliable instrument with vintage character and solid performance for recording sessions, rehearsals, or live gigs.

This metallic red bass guitar delivers a classic, warm tone thanks to its original Tokai humbucker pickup. It’s ideal for players who appreciate a sound with depth and clarity, supporting genres from rock to funk.

Key benefits:

  • Original Tokai humbucker pickup: Provides a rich, full-bodied sound that responds well to dynamic playing.
  • Neck dimensions (19.6 mm at the 1st fret, 25 mm at the 12th) and nut width (38.6 mm): Offer comfortable playability for both fingerstyle and pick techniques.
  • Original pots: Maintain authentic control over tone and volume, letting you shape your sound naturally.
  • Few signs of use, cosmetic only: The bass shows some wear but this does not affect its sound or playability.
  • Frets in good condition with minimal wear: Ensure smooth finger movement and reliable intonation.
  • Output jack replaced: Guarantees stable, noise-free signal output during performances.
  • Weight (4.2 kg): A balanced feel that stays comfortable during extended playing.
  • Made in Japan: Reflects careful craftsmanship and quality materials from the 1980s.

Imagine setting up for a rehearsal or gig with this bass. The neck feels just right in your hand, and the original humbucker delivers punchy low-end tones that sit well in the mix. Whether you’re laying down funky grooves or steady rock lines, the bass responds smoothly to your playing style.

Q&A:

Q: Can this bass handle different playing styles? A: Yes, the neck and pickup design support both fingerstyle and pick playing, making it versatile for various genres.

Q: Is the instrument reliable for live shows? A: The replaced output jack and good fret condition ensure stable performance without unwanted noise or intonation issues.

Q: Does the cosmetic wear affect sound quality? A: No, the signs of use are purely cosmetic and have no impact on tone or playability.
