1950s Kurt Seifert? GDR Archtop Guitar - Description
Rare 1950s all solid archtop made in the former GDR. I think it is probably made by Heinz (son) or Kurt (father) Seifert, but not 100% sure.
The guitar is made out of all solid woods with a spruce top and maple back and sides. Action is low, neck straight. Frets in good condition. “Stauffer” neck system (bolt on) Very unusual is, that it also got black varnish inside. That must have been done on purpose before assembly. Also the tailpiece is very unusual. Looks to be all original.
