Cort MBC-1 Matt Bellamy Red Sparkle 2016 Electric Guitar

This is a Cort MBC-1 Matt Bellamy Electric Guitar in Red Sparkle finish. Made in Indonesia in 2016, this guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Cort staggered locking tuners, an adjustable tune-o-matic bridge, a stop bar tailpiece, and a HS set of Manson pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, three-way pickup selector, and a kill switch.

The Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C Shape’ profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial yet articulate playing experience across the register. Certainly, the neck is both comfortable and practical for chord playing and melodic lead lines. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and the 12”-16” compound radius makes both chordal and lead playing comfortable as the fretboard gets flatter towards the upper register.

The Manson Humbucker pickup installed in the bridge of this guitar delivers huge screaming tones that project a deep bass and punchy mids, as well as a searing bright treble to help you cut through the mix. The Manson Single Coil neck pickup produces a thick, rounded sound tone with plenty of power for your solos and lead lines. The control layout keeps things simple, giving the player complete control over the tone of the guitar without overcomplicating anything. The kill button is a great feature of this guitar. It allows you to create a shutter effect with the push of a button.
