Emerald X30-12 Redwood Burl 2022 12-String Electro Acoustic Guitar - Description

This is an Emerald X30-12 12-String Electro Acoustic Guitar in High Gloss Redwood Burl finish. Made in Ireland in 2022, this guitar features a unibody construction, using moulds and computer calibrated CNC machines to form the Carbon Fiber unibody and neck. The sound hole is placed on the bass side upper bout to project the voice of the guitar more easily to the player. This guitar features a Carbon Fiber fingerboard and bridge, Black Chrome sealed Gotoh 510 tuning machines, and an L.R. Baggs Element under-saddle piezo pickup with soundhole mounted controls for volume and tone.

The neck plays very well, with a high gloss finish to the rear that assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5” scale. The profile might be described as a shallow ’D’ carve, and ensures comfortable playability in all registers, whilst the 16” fingerboard radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right up to the 22nd fret. The curves of the body with generous contours feel nice in the arms, and with such a lightweight material being used offers a comfortable playing experience in both standing and seated positions.

The X30-12 provides a bright and sparkly voice, with a focussed mid range that keeps things punchy, perfect for that jangly 12-string sound. The low end is understated yet detailed, giving the guitar a very distinctive tone. The use of high gloss Carbon Fiber for the fingerboard and bridge ensures a fast and snappy attack that captures every nuance of your playing. The instrument projects very well, and offers a wide dynamic range that feels very sensitive. The L.R. Baggs Element system conveys the voice of the guitar wonderfully, making it perfect for live and recording situations.
