Epiphone Ltd Ed. 'Back to the Future' ES-345 2025 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

This is an Epiphone Limited Edition Back to the Future ES-345 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar. The Gibson ES-345 is an icon of the pop culture world, having featured as Marvin Berry/Marty McFly’s guitar in the popular film ‘Back to the Future’ in the famous ‘Johnny B Goode’ scene. Complete with the 60s Kalamazoo headstock, a single solid parallelogram amongst the split inlays on the 12th fret, ‘Hill Valley Music Store’ decal on the back of the headstock, Bigsby tailpiece and stop bar studs just as it was in the movie.

Made in China in 2025, this guitar consists of a 5-ply Layered Maple body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments consist of Gold hardware, a Black 5-ply ES-335-shaped pickguard, Epiphone Deluxe tuners, a Bigsby B70 tailpiece, and a set of Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers. These pickups are wired to a 3-way selector, bridge volume, bridge tone, neck volume, neck tone, 5-position Varitone switch.

The Mahogany neck plays well, with the Rounded ‘C’ profile feeling chunky in the hand without being at all cumbersome. This creates a feeling of dependability whilst remaining articulate enough for technical playing, whilst retaining the character you would expect from a guitar of this style. The Rosewood fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, adorned with Pearloid Split Parallelogram inlays and side binding, this neck features a traditional 12” radius that is well suited to a wide range of genres and playing styles. The addition of Medium Jumbo frets enhances the feel of vibrato and string bending techniques whilst also providing a rock-solid playing surface. The familiar lines of the ES-345 body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, manageable in both standing and seated positions.

The semi-hollow body design of the ES-345 provides a warm, natural resonance that adds depth and dimension to the guitar’s tone. The solid Maple centre block helps to reduce any unwanted feedback and unwanted resonance, resulting in a more defined sound. The guitar resonates beautifully, filling out the sound with a deep and rich character. The Alnico Classic PRO neck pickup is warm and round, and can handle plenty of gain meaning you can achieve anything from jazzy lines through to soaring rock and blues solo tones. The Alnico Classic PRO bridge pickup excels at driving the front end of an amp with ease and producing the bright, biting tones that cut right through the mix to put your playing front and centre. The 5-way Varitone switch acts as a notch filter to suppress certain frequencies, and offers 5 unique voices which are almost infinitely variable thanks to the standard controls. A versatile instrument that can cover a lot of different styles from blues and jazz to hard hitting rock, whilst also being the perfect piece of memorabilia from one of the most iconic movie franchises in the world.
