This is an Ernie Ball Musicman Stringray5 H electric bass guitar in Natural Gloss finish. Made in the USA in 2013, this bass features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Standard Musicman bridge & open-geared Musicman tuning machines. A single Musicman humbucking pickup is wired to an on-board active preamp with controls for master volume & 3-band EQ.

The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a moderately-sized ‘C’ shape which sits comfortably in the hand and provides a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The satin finish to the rear assists with slick navigation of the 34” scale, and along with the generous cutaways ensures that access to the upper frets is a breeze. The 11” fingerboard radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques, and along with the high-profile wide frets delivers a playing experience which is both comfortable and practical across the register.
