Fender American Standard Telecaster 2-Color Sunburst 2014 Electric Guitar

This is a Fender American Standard Telecaster in 2-Color Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2014, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with Chrome hardware including 6-Saddle American Standard Strings-Through-Body Tele with upgraded Graphtech Saddles and Stamped Brass Plate. A set of Fender Deluxe Staggered tuning machines are also featured. The pickups installed in this guitar are a Fender Custom Shop Vintage-Style Telecaster Single-Coil in the bridge position and a Fender Custom Shop “Twisted” Telecaster Single-Coil in the neck; these are wired to standard telecaster controls.

The Maple neck plays very well, with the Satin finish to the rear working in conjunction with the Modern ‘C’ shape profile to provide comfortable playability and smooth navigation in all registers. The 9.5” fingerboard radius strikes a nice balance between authentic vintage feel and practicality for lead lines and string bending techniques, whilst the Medium Jumbo frets provide a rock solid playing surface and enhanced vibrato feel. The familiar lines of the Telecaster body shape are as comfortable as ever, with the generous belly carve contour ensuring comfort on long gigs or practice sessions.

The pair of Fender Single-Coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver all of the Telecaster tones you know and love but with more kick than you would expect! There is plenty of roundness and warmth in the neck position, with a smooth midrange and defined top end that provides plenty of thickness and clarity for your solo tones. The bridge pickup is where this guitar really comes alive though, with a bright, searing bite and buckets of Tele ‘Twang’ that will catapult you to the front of any mix. The unobtrusive controls are nicely responsive, allowing you to sculpt your sound easily on the guitar without getting in the way of your playing.
