Gibson Les Paul Classic Heritage Cherry Sunburst 2019 Electric Guitar

This is a Gibson Les Paul Classic in Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2019, this guitar of course features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including an ABR-1 ToM bridge, StopBar tailpiece & Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. A pair of Zebra coil Gibson Burstbucker pickups are installed, with a 61R in the neck and 61T in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls, with independent push/pull coil splits for each of the pickups, as well as push/pull phase reverse & Pure Bypass functions on the tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with its Slim Taper profile providing all the ‘chunk’ and character you would expect from a Gibson without being at all cumbersome. The Gloss finish to the rear assists in smooth transitions up and down the neck, whilst the traditional 12” fingerboard radius offers a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. Medium jumbo frets offer a rock-solid playing surface whilst enhancing the feel of string bending & vibrato techniques. The familiar lines of the Les Paul body feel as comfortable as ever in the arms, whilst the 9-hole weight relief adds practicality whilst retaining a traditionally hefty feel.

The Zebra coil Gibson Burstbucker humbucker in the neck position provides the thick and creamy tone that Les Paul’s are renowned for. A warm yet detailed low end is complemented by a rich mid range and sweet trebles, with roundness and plenty of sustain for rock solo tones. The Burstbucker 61T in the bridge is hotter, with a high output and bright glassy tone with clean settings that drives into beautifully saturated harmonic distortion as you crank the gain. The addition of push/pull controls for coil splitting, phase reverse and Pure Bypass add a plethora of sonic options & practicality for live use - the Pure Bypass function sends the bridge pickup directly to the output without adjusting any of the other controls.
