This is a Gibson Gary Moore BFG Signature Les Paul in Lemon Burst Finish. Made in the USA in 2009, this set-neck guitar features a chambered weight relieved Mahogany body matched with a Maple CNC-textured ‘faux gator’ top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fretboard. The Gibson P-90 single coil and Uncovered Burstbucker 3 are wired to a 3-way pickup selector, master tone control, two volumes individual for the neck and bridge pickups, and a 2-way kill switch.

The ‘50s Rounded profile neck specifically chosen by Gary Moore feels fast and easy to manoeuvre, with help from the natural finish. The ‘played in’ feel of this neck provides a sense of familiarity to the playing experience. The 12” Rosewood fretboard feels smooth under the fingers when playing, and assists with fluid transitions, as well as bending and vibrato techniques. The single cutaway offers great comfort and uninhibited access to the higher register, making lead lines effortless and welcoming to a wide range of styles.

The uncovered Burstbucker 3 sounds clear and responsive, providing each note with a crystal like quality which works well with chords and lead lines. The P-90 is warm with a high output, meaning it’s a great pickup to drive an amp and deliver distorted tones, yet still cleaning up nicely when rolling the volume down, perfect for ‘That’ Parisienne walkways tone. The chambered body compliments this well, providing the guitar with a nice resonance both plugged in and acoustically. The kill switch is a nice added touch, allowing the player to cut all signals from the guitar to the amp at the flick of a switch. This paired with the two independent volumes, single tone and 3-way pickup selector offer full control of your sound right on the guitar.
