Gibson Les Paul Studio T Black Cherry Burst 2017 Electric Guitar

This is a Gibson Les Paul Studio T Electric Guitar in Black Cherry Burst finish. Built in the USA in 2017, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a modern weight-relieved Mahogany body with carved Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is equipped with Chrome hardware including a Tune-O-Matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece along with Grover Kidney tuning machines. The Pickups are a pair of Gibson humbuckers, with a 490R in the neck and 498T in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume and tone controls and a push/pull coil split for each pickup.

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘60s SlimTaper profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip without being too cumbersome or unwieldy. Certainly, the profile provides a smooth and articulate playing experience and ergonomic thumb placement across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a smooth, durable playing surface for the user to explore, and along with the 12” radius is well suited bending and vibrato techniques. The familiar lines of the body feel great in the arms whilst the single cutaway provides unobstructed access to the higher register.

The Gibson 490R humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The 498T humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output- perfect for saturated rock riffing. The traditional Les Paul control layout with the addition of coil split functions allows the player to achieve a wide variety of tones, meaning this guitar is ready for wherever the gig takes you.
