Hofner 161 "Colorama" 1962 - Description
Very rare and very cool Hofner 161 also known als Colorama.
This guitar looks like it has seen every bar within 1000 miles, but remains all original besides the bridge (probably not original).
This is still the early version with a semi solid body, set neck and trapeze tailpiece.
Neck is straight. Frets new. Plays like butter.
The original pickup reads about 4,8k Ohm (not rewound).
Work done: refretted, electronics cleaned, added a ground wire, tuners oiled, setup (trussrod works fine).
