Late 1960s Hofner 4578 VTZ with the onboard fuzz and treble boost. Those onboard effects actually sound pretty good.
I got this one in pretty poor condition: tuners, bridge and 3-way switch were missing and the varnish is in pretty bad condition (see fotos) Also the neck heel had a big crack.
Restauration work done: the guitar got black Grover tuners I still had laying aroundnew Hofner style bridgenew modern 3-way switchreplaced a magled fretrepair & touch up work of the neck heel (there is 3 screws under the extra fret markers at the 14th fret)installed a new batterly holderlight cleaning of electronics with Deoxitlight cleaning of the varnish & fretboard, tuners lubricated, setup etc
Now this still looks pretty worn, but is in good structural condition and fun to play –>
