This is an Ibanez ASV-100-DG semi-hollow electric guitar in Black Low Gloss finish. Made in China in 2016, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Sapele body with centre block, a 3-piece Maple/Mahogany neck and 22 fret Ebony fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Antique Gold hardware including an ART-1 bridge and an upgraded Duesenberg Tremolo tailpiece, as well as sealed tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbuckers which are wired to independent volume and tone controls, (with a push/pull split coil on the neck tone pot) and a 3-way toggle switch.

The 3-piece Maple/Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘Artstar ASV’ profile feeling nicely slim and allowing for fast and easy navigation of the 24.75” scale. The Ebony fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, with its 12” radius allowing for bending and vibrato techniques. The double cutaway body design allows unobstructed access to the higher register, great for those fast lead lines. The compact size of the body makes it easier to play for extended periods of time compared to larger semi-hollow guitars but not diminishing from the overall tone.

The Super 58 humbuckers deliver a thick and full-bodied voicing, with a rich low end, solid midrange and a clear, articulate top end. The semi-hollow construction means that the tone is more open and airy than a solid body, whilst the pickups ensure that the guitar can drive an amplifier with ease, and is well suited to a broad range of genres. The classic control layout offers ease of use and a broad sweep of both volume and tone to really help you accurately dial in your desired tones, with the addition of a push/pull coil-split on the neck tone pot to really extend your library of sounds.
