Perfectus Erich Wander 1950s Archtop Guitar - Description
1950s Perfectus made by Erich Wander around 1955.
This is an all solid archtop with a little German Carve - srpruce top and maple back & sides.
The guitar got a Rellog fretboard pickup hidden in the neck.
The neck is straight and action very comfy low.
Work done: new pickguard “GDR style” with volume pot, partial refret (first 9 frets), changed the output jack from the neck heel to the end block, now old original tuners - it had non original low budget tuners on, Stauffer neck bushing was epoxid in (only the bushing, not the neck) and the whole neck heel reeinforced - the neck can be taken off with a 4mm square key, the cable to the vol pot got a plug so you can disattach the neck with the pickup, the Rellog in the fretboard was dead and was rewound to about 4,3k Ohm, the binding was reglued and patched in some places.
