PRS S2 Standard 22 Satin Antique White 2022 Electric Guitar - Description
This is a PRS S2 Standard 22 Satin Electric Guitar in Antique White finish. Made in the USA in 2022, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a PRS vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge & PRS locking machine heads. A pair of PRS 58/15 ‘S’ passive humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls, with a master push/pull coil split on the tone knob.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with PRS’ Pattern Regular profile filling the hand comfortably for a substantial yet articulate grip across the register. There is plenty of character on offer, inspiring confidence when playing rhythm parts and riffs. This is combined with the ability to reach big stretches and play fast lines and solos with ease. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, delivering a playing surface which feels both luxurious and tactile. With its 10” radius, the surface is well set up for both lead and rhythm playing, facilitating large bends, fast playing and comfortable chording in equal measure.
The 58/15 “S” humbuckers have a warm, vintage style voicing. A rich low end and tight mids are well complemented by a clear top end. The pickups can drive the front end of your rig nicely without overwhelming it, providing excellent clarity and articulation and an overall very well balanced tone. The push/pull coil split offers versatility, allowing you to switch from humbuckers to single-coil style sounds in a flash, perfect for the modern gigging musician who needs a flexible guitar that sounds great in any genre.
