Squier Stratocaster Made in Japan K Serial Black c.1991 Electric Guitar

This is a Squier Stratocaster in Black finish. Made in Japan between 1990 and 1992, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, a Maple neck and 21 fret Maple fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo with Unstamped saddles and a set of Gotoh Sealed tuning machines. A trio of Squier Ceramic Single-Coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and a Middle tone control.

The Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 7.25” radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience whilst retaining practicality for lead lines and string bending, further enhanced by the frets. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body along with generous body contours are as comfortable and familiar as ever, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze.

The trio of Ceramic Single-Coils installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting.
