Yamaha Studio Lord SL500 of 1980, produced in Japan. It is one of the very successful Japanese Les Paul models from the late 1970s and 1980s, dating back to the period in which Yamaha produced instruments of extremely high quality performance. The Studio Lord series is still considered to be one of the best made Japanese LPs of those years — especially in terms of the stability of the ridge, the quality of wood and the precision of performance. The copy is very classic — the Cherry Sunburst finish, the creamy binding and open, dark wood fingerboards give the guitar a very racial vintage look. The instrument has exactly the character of the old MIJ Les Paul, which many people seek — a slightly faded burst, a natural patin and a very “woody” vibe.
